Last night the Yankees lost the game and series to the Indians. It appears that there will be significant change in the Bronx next season. There may not be the same level of animosity for a while as the young players gain reputations and accomplishments.
Likely gone are :
Torre (Boss' decision)
Posada (free agent - career year, old)
Pettitte (free agent/option)
Clemens (free agent/old)
Possibly gone are :
Rivera (free agent, they still might need to sign him)
A-Rod (player option)
Mussina (under contract/old)
Giambi (under contract/old)
With a change in manager there will be issues with personalities especially with the veterans. Look for the Yankees to spend considerably to compliment the young players they have in place.
oh yeah, I forgot a beef I have. Joba Chamberlain is the great hope for the Yanks, can someone tell him to put a bend in the bill of his cap? The way he leaves the hat flat makes him look even more goofy than he already does...
